1. Introduction

Zeventive is an online event marketplace platform based in India. We connect event service vendors with users who want to book services for their events — including corporate events, weddings, social gatherings, and entertainment productions.

We are committed to protecting the personal data of every person who uses our Platform, whether you are a Vendor or a User.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and what rights you have over your data. It applies to all users of the Zeventive website and mobile application.

By registering on or using the Zeventive Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect different types of personal data depending on how you use the Platform.

From Users (Event Bookers):

  • Full name, email address, and mobile number
  • City and location for finding nearby vendors
  • Event details submitted during booking enquiries such as event type, date, and guest count
  • Payment acknowledgement records — we do not store card or banking details
  • Device information, IP address, and browsing behaviour on the Platform

From Vendors (Service Providers):

  • Business name, owner or contact person name, email address, and phone number
  • Business address and service areas
  • GST number, PAN, and identity or business registration documents
  • Bank account details for commission invoice purposes
  • Service photos, portfolio content, and pricing information uploaded to Listings
  • Subscription and transaction history on the Platform

Automatically Collected Data from All Users:

  • Log data including pages visited, time spent, and clicks
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 8

3. Why We Collect Your Data

We collect and process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Account creation and management — to register and maintain your Vendor or User account on the Platform
  • Booking facilitation — to connect Users with Vendors and send booking confirmation notifications
  • Vendor verification — to review and approve Vendor enrollments and display verification badges on approved profiles
  • Subscription and commission billing — to raise GST-compliant invoices and maintain Vendor billing records
  • Dispute mediation — to review submitted evidence and facilitate resolution between Users and Vendors
  • Customer support — to respond to your queries, complaints, and feedback
  • Platform improvement — to analyse usage patterns and improve features and performance
  • Legal compliance — to meet obligations under Indian law including tax, consumer protection, and data protection regulations
  • Communication — to send booking updates, platform announcements, and promotional offers where you have given consent

4. How We Share Your Data

Zeventive does not sell your personal data to any third party. We share data only in the following limited circumstances.

Between Users and Vendors:

When a User sends a booking enquiry to a Vendor, we share the User's name, contact details, and event information with that Vendor solely to facilitate the booking. Vendors are not permitted to use this information for any purpose other than fulfilling the requested service.

With Service Providers:

We work with trusted third-party service providers such as cloud hosting, analytics, and communication tools. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data. They may not use your data for their own purposes.

For Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

We may disclose your data to government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or courts when required by law or in response to a valid legal request.

Business Transfers:

If Zeventive is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance of any such change that affects your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. The specific retention periods are as follows:

  • User account data — retained for the duration of account activity plus 2 years after account closure
  • Vendor account data— retained for the duration of the Vendor's engagement plus 5 years for GST and financial record compliance
  • Booking and dispute records — retained for 3 years from the date of the event
  • Legal hold — if a dispute or legal proceeding is ongoing, relevant data is retained until final resolution

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked to any individual.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. These measures include:

  • Encrypted storage of sensitive documents and credentials
  • Restricted internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security reviews of our Platform infrastructure
  • Secure HTTPS connections across all pages of the Platform

However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to notify us immediately at security@zeventive.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

7. Your Rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to Correction — request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
  • Right to Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent for data processing where consent was the legal basis, without affecting any processing carried out before withdrawal
  • Right to Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint with our Data Protection Officer

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@zeventive.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this period by an additional 30 days and will inform you in advance if we need to do so.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Zeventive uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on the Platform. We use them to:

  • Keep you logged into your account
  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Understand how visitors use the Platform through analytics
  • Improve Platform performance and user experience

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect some features of the Platform. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The Zeventive Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

If we become aware that a minor has created an account or submitted personal data on our Platform, we will delete that data promptly.

If you believe that a minor's personal data has been submitted to Zeventive, please contact us at privacy@zeventive.com so we can take immediate action.

10. Third-Party Links

The Zeventive Platform may contain links to external websites or third-party services. Zeventive is not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party website before sharing personal information with them. Visiting a third-party link from our Platform is at your own discretion and risk.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable Indian law.

When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email or an in-platform notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

The most current version of this Policy will always be available on our Platform with a revised Last Updated date at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
